A short guide to disputing a charge with your card issuer

Payments · Published November 5, 2026 · 1 min read · By DigiSupportive Help

Most charge questions are best raised with the seller first. Sometimes your bank is the right call.

Try the seller first when

  • You returned an item and the refund has not appeared by its expected date.
  • You canceled an order and still see a charge.

Call your bank when

  • A charge matches no order in your account.
  • You believe your card was used without permission.

What to prepare

  • Dates and amounts from your statement.
  • Your order page showing what you bought.
  • Screenshots of messages with the seller.

Use the phone number printed on your card, and never share your full card number with callers who contact you first.
